PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic beverage vending machine which can prevent loss of sale chances because water in a tank cannot be used when a power source of the machine is turned on again after turning off the power. SOLUTION: When the power source of the machine is turned on again after turning off the power, since the water in the tank 2a of a boiler 2 is replaced with fresh water, the machine does not need to suspend selling merchandise even if a regulation prohibits to use hot water having lower temperature than a predetermined standard temperature. If the hot water temperature is higher than the predetermined standard temperature when the power is turned on again, the water in the tank 2a is not replaced and the condition of the machine is set as a sales standby mode. Therefore, when the machine's power is turned off for a short time such as a temporally power failure, if the hot water can be used after turning on the power, the water in the tank 2a is not replaced.
