PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have high usability and to safely prevent a cooking object F such as fish from being stuck thereto. SOLUTION: In the ignition initial stage of grill burners 9 and 10, a second grill rod 15b is pre-heated with the cooking object F such as the fish mounted on a first grill rod 15a. For some time after the ignition when the pre-heating of the second grill rod 15b is completed, the second grill rod 15b is bent upward (as shown in Figure) and the grill rod retaining the cooking object F is changed over from the first grill rod 15a to the second grill rod 15b. In this case, the temperature of the first grill rod 15a is retained lower than the protein solidification temperature of the fish, so that the first grill rod 15a and the cooking object F are prevented from being stuck to each other. The second grill rod 15b is sufficiently pre-heated, so that the second grill rod 15b and the cooking object F can be prevented from being stuck to each other.
