PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce suppression of a flow component by a highpass filter for suppressing a clutter component. SOLUTION: When executing N times of transmission/reception to the same sound ray direction, the transmission/reception is executed while certainly sandwiching (m-1) times of transmission/reception to different sound ray direction, wherein m is≥2. Thereby, because a PRF becomes a PRF of 1/m compared to the case that the transmission/reception is continuously executed, a highpass filter characteristic H1 is compressed to the DC side in the frequency direction, so that the suppression of the flow component F is reduced. Accordingly, a contrast image or a B-flow image having excellent image quality can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
