摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a liquid crystal alignment layer at low temperature, having high inclined alignment angle of liquid crystal molecules to a substrate, high electric characteristics such as a voltage holding ratio and residual voltage, high adhesion properties to the substrate, high printing properties and high step coating properties. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal alignment layer material is used, containing a 1-10C alkyl sulfonate (a first polyamide) of a polyamide acid having any one acid dianhydride residual group represented by formula (1) to (5), a 1-10C alkyl sulfonate (a second polyamide) of a polyamide acid having an acid dianhydryde residual group represented by formula (6) (X denotes a hydrocarbon group) and a 1-10C alkyl sulfonate (a third polyamide) of a polyamide acid having an acid dianhydride residual group represented by formula (6).
