PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detecting device receiving little influence by sulfurization in a fuel including sulfur content, and receiving little influence by a protective layer in a fuel containing a little sulfur content. SOLUTION: This liquid level detecting device has a circuit board 2 having a plurality of fixed electrodes 3 connected to a resistance 4, and sliding contact points 5a and 5b for sliding on the fixed electrodes 3 according to a change in a liquid level, and outputs a resistance value of the resistance 4 corresponding to the optional fixed electrode 3 when the sliding contact points 5a and 5b contact with the optional fixed electrode 3 from the plurality of fixed electrodes 3, and is provided with at least two sliding contact points 5a and 5b, and is provided with a first sliding part 8a having respectively the protective layer 7 in the plurality of fixed electrodes 3 and a second sliding part 8b having no protective layer 7. One of the respective sliding contact points 5a and 5b is contacted with the first sliding part 8a, and the other is contacted with the second sliding part 8b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
