PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode member disposed at the bottom of a furnace usable in an electric furnace, which does not need a reduction firing process while keeping durability, obtainable at low cost, and having excellent conductivity. SOLUTION: The electrode member is composed of raw material composition consisting of a refractory raw material and a carbonaceous raw material, and the carbonaceous material contains expanded graphite.
