PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow control member and a fuel injection device using it capable of reducing damage to the inner wall when the throttled flow of an orifice is adjusted and also a dispersion in the flow control characteristics caused by any damage to the inner wall. SOLUTION: A first orifice 51 to throttle the passage section area of a first passage 41 is located apart from the connection part 44 between the first passage 41 and the second passage 42. In the case therefore, a polishing fluid is fed from the end 41a to the second passage 42 via the first orifice 51, the pressure of the polishing fluid with the flowing speed raised by the first orifice 51 lowers before the fluid reaches the second passage 42. A diametrically enlarged part 45 is formed from the first orifice 51 to the connection part 44, so that the flowing speed of the fluid lowers. This reduces the energy which the inner wall 40a receives from the polishing fluid. Accordingly it is possible to reduce damage to the inner wall 40a and a dispersion in the flow control characteristics caused thereby. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
