PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a designing method of a face bolt capable of rationally and appropriately designing the face bolt with quantitative consideration of dynamic characteristics and adhesive characteristics of a bolt material. SOLUTION: The designing method of the face bolt is utilized when it is decided that the reinforcing face bolt has to be driven into the face by analyzing an amount of squeezing of the face and a local safety factor by a finite difference method based on the deformation of a ground and strength parameter. Dynamic parameter such as anchor parameter of the face bolt, Young's modulus of the face bolt or the like is added to the deformation of the ground and the strength parameter in the designing method, and the bolt in a predetermined setting state is analyzed by the finite difference method on driving condition to decide the number of the bolts to be driven within a range of reference value of the amount of squeeze of the face and the local safety factor.
