The proposed positive electrode of a lead-acid accumulator contains a base and active material. The base contains a number of rods joined by a conducting strip. The method for producing the positive electrode consists in producing the base of the electrode and then forming a surface layer of active material by electrochemical deposition. To produce the rods of the base, a process of drop-by-drop injection molding under gravity is used. According to this process, drops of melted lead or lead alloy, which temperature exceeds the melting temperature by 10 ... 30 ?C, are supplied from the melting furnace, through a metering unit, with a rate of no more than 1 drop per 3 s.
