PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor having a small particle diameter, a narrow particle diameter distribution and further good emission intensity according to a liquid-phase method, and to provide a method for producing the phosphor. SOLUTION: The method for producing the phosphor comprises providing a desalting step before a step of baking a phosphor precursor prepared in the presence of a protective colloid and affording the phosphor.
