FIELD: veterinary science.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science and concerns method of gastrointestinal diseases prevention in calves. Method involves administration of prebiotic and probiotic to animal. Prebiotic is represented by dry “Acid Lacquer” fodder additive, probiotic is “Prolam”, which are administerd to calves daily for 7 days after birth in doses of 15 g in form of aqueous suspension and 5÷7 ml with colostrum or milk, respectively.EFFECT: invention usage allows to reduce gastrointestinal diseases morbidity and duration of their running.1 cl, 5 tbl, 3 ex
