Optical isolator with monocrystalline magnetooptical element includes series-arranged on the optical axis polarizer, monocrystalline magnetooptical element mounted in a magnetic system and an analyzer. Magneto-optical element is made of material with negative optical anisotropy parameter (ξ< 0) with orientation of crystallographic axes [C*], depending on value of optical anisotropy parameter ξ of the used material.EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of degree of isolation of an optical valve and increasing of maximum allowable for it average power of laser radiation.1 cl, 2 dwg
