The light assembly (10) comprises at least two light points (11,12,13), each with an electrical feed incorporating at least two inputs (21,22,23) and a switch (31,32,33) activated by a control (42) fed by an input. The feed to the control incorporates an auxiliary switch (41) provided with a multiple feed, so that with the presence of a first feed this can be conducted to the control. In the absence of the first feed, a further feed to the control is effected. The differing feeds consist of alternating current of different phases. Where the feed has three inputs, all three have an identical absolute phase difference.
