BREAD BAKING MACHINE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A bread baking machine and a method of controlling the same are provided to automatically recognizes the term of availability of a bread baking materials bag and which warns a user against the expiration of the term, thereby preventing a bread baking process using the expired bread baking materials bag from being performed. CONSTITUTION: The bread baking machine comprises a body forming an oven chamber; a pair of kneading drums(18) having a grip portion for gripping each of both ends of a bag including bread baking materials, the kneading drums being positioned to be spaced from each other in the oven chamber; a bar code reader(20) for reading the bar code displayed on the bread baking materials bag; a timer(36) for providing information about a current time; and, if it is judged that the term of availability of the bread baking materials bag is expired by comparing the information of the term of availability read by the bar code reader(20) and the information of the current time provided by the timer(36), a controller(30) for warning a user of the fact that the term of availability of the bread baking materials bag is expired.
