PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal sheet for a simple thermal insulation can used while being heated and cooled and having a high thermal insulation property, and the thermal insulation can.

SOLUTION: At least one side surface is coated with a paint satisfying the relationship ofλ/B≤7×10-3by a thermal conductivityλ(W/mK) and a thickness B(μm) or an adhesive. In case of the adhesive, a surface coating material is bonded thereon. The paint or the adhesive preferably contains bubbles or a thermal insulator having a required thermal insulation property.
