The licence plate maker consists of a template (1) with a series of rectangular apertures (3) to receive cut-out letters and numerals (40), and two hinged holders (10, 20) to receive the template and the blank licence plate. The holders are held together by screws (2), and the letters and numerals, which have an adhesive coating, are inserted in the apertures. The plate with symbols attached is then passed between two rollers, turned by hand, to fix the symbols in place.
