The communication process from a second (2) to a first (1) machine using an identifier through a digital word network (3) via an access network (4) has a correspondence table (5) memorising the correspondence between the two identifiers. The communication process uses an identifier control process from the first machine to the digital network centre, using identifiers of the first and second machines at the access centre.
