<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize efficient encoding by reducing an increase in an arithmetic operation amount caused by hand shaking, etc., in real time moving image coding by a video camera. <P>SOLUTION: An image picking up means 10 picks up images of an object 1 to acquire a moving image, an encoding means 20 encodes a predictive residual image frame calculated by subtracting the current image frame of the moving image and a predictive image frame prepared by determining a motion compensation range on the basis of inter-motion compensation frame prediction and performing search for finding a motion vector. At this encoding, an acceleration sensor 30 calculates the movement direction of the image picking up means 10 which generates the entire image movement of an image picked up by the image picking up means 10 and its momentum, and the motion compensation range in the inter-motion compensation frame prediction is moved in accordance with the calculated movement direction and momentum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
