The invention relates to a method for adjusting a forming portion (2) of a bending tool (1) in a bending press (10) which has a press drive (13). In order to be able to adjust the forming portion in a simple manner within the bending press, the adjustment of the forming portion (2) of the bending tool (1) is effected by the press drive (13) and/or by a displacement drive (26) which brings about a relative movement, in the bending press (10), between the bending tool (1) having the forming portion (2) to be adjusted and a bending tool (14) located opposite the latter, in a direction transversely to the pressing direction (25). The invention also relates to a bending press and to the use of a bending tool in a method for adjusting a forming portion of a bending tool.
