A superconducting phase-shift system (10) including an all-pass filter (12) comprising at least one variable inductance element (16). The all-pass filter (12) is configured to receive an input signal (SIGMW) and to provide an output signal (SIGSH) that is phase-shifted relative to the input signal based on a variable inductance provided by each of the at least one variable inductance element (16). The system further includes a phase controller (14) configured to provide a phase-control current (lPH) to control the variable inductance of the at least one variable inductance element (16) based on a characteristic of the phase-control current.
