PURPOSE: A thin winch for an elevator is provided to repair and check easily by arranging the winding sheave with separable simple structure, to reduce the thickness of the winch with the rotor frame and the stator frame, and to prevent damage of the stator and the rotor against collision in assembling the frames. CONSTITUTION: A thin winch is composed of a rotor frame(110) having a small bore body protruded out of the center of a large bore body, a rotating shaft protruded from the center of the small body, the large bore body combined with plural rotors(170), and a brake disk protruded in the outer periphery of the large bore body; a stator frame(120) containing the large bore body including rotors, and having a main shaft inserted to the rotating shaft of the rotor frame, a rotor containing part including the staple-shaped section and a stator(180); a winding sheave(130) fitted to the outer periphery of the small bore body and combined with the rotor frame; a bearing member(140) inserted between the outer periphery of the main shaft and the inner periphery of the small bore body to support the rotor frame; a brake unit(150) installed to the brake disk to stop the brake disk according to the control signal; and an encoder(160) installed in the end of the rotating shaft.
