<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head in which image quality is prevented from lowering when imaging is performed using a rod lens array by preventing occurrence of unevenness in the quantity of transmission light in the main scanning direction of an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A rod lens array 65 consists of two arrays of rod lenses 65a-65e arranged in zigzag. Light emitting element lines 128a-128d are arranged on lines a, d and b, c symmetrical to the center line (central axis) C.L. of the rod lens array 65. When multiplex exposure is performed using the light emitting element lines 128a-128d thus arranged, the occurrence of unevenness in the quantity of transmission light can be prevented in the main scanning direction of an image carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
