PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to prevent re-contamination of air and generation of flowing resistance on an air suction port by installing an air cleaner between the air suction port and a chilled air outlet to form a separate air cleaning channel. CONSTITUTION: An air suction port(21a) and a chilled air outlet(22a) are formed on a lower part and an upper part of a cabinet, respectively. An air cleaner(30) is placed between the air suction port and the chilled air outlet to clean indoor air. The air cleaner includes an air cleaning fan(32) and an air cleaning unit(31) introducing indoor air through the air suction port and cleaning the indoor air; and a safety net(40) preventing a part of a human body from contacting with the air cleaning fan when the air cleaner is checked. An air inlet(33) is formed on a lower part of the air cleaner to be opened so as to be connected with the air suction port. A cleaned air outlet(34) is formed on an upper part of the air cleaner to face front side. The air cleaning fan and the air cleaning unit are placed between the air inlet and the cleaned air outlet. The safety net is placed between the air cleaning fan and the air cleaning unit. |
