<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door locking device which can be downsized. <P>SOLUTION: The door locking device has a striker, a resin body 107, a hook 123, a ratchet 131, and a metallic rear base (cover) 151. The body 107 has a striker insertion slot 113 into which the striker is insertable. The hook 123 is rotatably arranged on one side of the striker insertion slot 113 formed in the body 107, and has a striker engaging slot 121 with which the striker is engageable. The ratchet 131 is rotatably arranged on the other side of the striker insertion slot 113 formed in the body 107, and engageable with the hook 123. The rear base 151 is formed so as to cover at least a surface of the ratchet 131, opposite to a surface facing the body 107. According to the door locking device thus formed, the ratchet 131 has an elastic tongue piece 171 that extends generally along a ratchet 131 rotating direction and makes press contact with an inner surface of the rear base (cover) 151. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
