<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure and assembly step of a rotary magnetic head by improving the working accuracy of head cores and by mounting each head core on a common mounting base in the state where the height positions of each of the head cores are adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: Video core bars 21, 27, 28, and 29 formed with gaps 7, 8, 9, and 10 are formed and the video core bars 27 and 29 are turned upside down and are lined up. The directions of each of the gaps are inclined 6°with respect to a direction perpendicular to a slice line and thereafter the gaps are fixed by situating the reference height positions H1 of the gaps 8 and 9 higher by 10.5 [μm] than the reference height positions of the gaps 7 and 10. The head cores optimized in the heights of the reference positions H1 of the gaps from the segmenting surface are formed by simultaneously segmenting the bars 21, 27, 28, and 29. If the segmenting surfaces of each of the head cores are glued to the common base, each head core is situated at the desired height and the need for a mechanism for adjusting the heights of the cores is eliminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
