<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a setting display device capable of promptly detecting operations of touch keys to which high-speed responsiveness is requested and relieving a burden on a microprocessor. <P>SOLUTION: Areas of the touch keys 556 to 566 on a setting screen 500 displayed on a display are registered by an area registration means, detection frequency levels of depressing operations are set by every area of a display picture by operating a detection frequency setting column 571 by every picture area, a selection order and intervals of switching time of extraction and selection of scanning lines 510 to 520 are set by a scanning control means based on the detection frequency levels by every area of the display picture and depressing operations of the touch keys are detected by a depressing operation detection means of the touch keys by using the selection order and the intervals of switching time of extracting and selecting the scanning lines 510 to 520.
