PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardening material which can give a high strength and good workability, when mixed with weak viscous soil in a milky state to improve the weak viscous soil. SOLUTION: This hardening material composition for the viscous soil used for viscous soil, weak ground, as a target soil is characterized by comprising 100 pts. wt. of cement powder and 2 to 20pts.wt. of inorganic sulfate powder (for example, anhydrous gypsum) which contains particles having particle diameters of≤10μm in an amount of 40 to 80vol.% and has a specific surface area/unit weight of 0.5 to 1.0m<SP>2</SP>/g calculated as spheres.
