PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change control device of a continuously-variable transmission, which uses different control systems for forward and reverse running, capable of performing stable speed change even in a case where a rotary direction of an input and output disk is not detected. SOLUTION: A speed change rate type moving direction determining means comprises a first moving direction determining portion determining as a forward movement when a detected shift position is changed from non-forward movement range to a forward movement range and determining as a reverse movement when it is changed from non-reverse movement range to a reverse movement range, a second moving direction determining portion switching determination of a moving direction because the determined moving direction of the first moving direction determining portion and an actual moving direction are in a different reverse-running state when a speed change rate crosses a first fixed value located in an acceleration side rather than a target speed change rate from a deceleration side to the acceleration side, and a third moving direction determining portion determining that the determined direction in the first moving direction determining portion and actual moving direction coincide when a speed change rate crosses the first fixed value from the deceleration side to the acceleration side after determined as a reverse-running state.
