PURPOSE: A power transmission mode conversion method of a washing machine is provided to execute noiseless and stable power transmission mode conversion. CONSTITUTION: A power transmission mode conversion method of a washing machine comprises steps of deciding whether a conversion into a pulsator mode is demanded(S71); executing right and left agitation of a BLDC(Brushless DC) motor N times by the agitating force 'A'(S72), to convert into the pulsator mode; rotating a cam by driving a clutch motor and executing right and left agitation of the BLDC motor M times by the agitating force 'B'(S73); deciding whether a switch is in an on-state(S74); counting the AC power input pulse number and deciding whether the counted value is over a predetermined pulse number(S75); stopping the clutch motor(S76); executing right and left agitation of the BLDC motor N times by the agitating force 'C'(S77); executing right and left agitation of the BLDC motor N times by the agitating force 'A', to convert into a dehydrating tub mode(S78); rotating the cam by driving the clutch motor and executing right and left agitation of the BLDC motor M times by the agitating force 'B'(S79); deciding whether the switch is in an off-state(S80); counting the AC power input pulse number and deciding whether the counted value is over the predetermined pulse number(S81); stopping the clutch motor(82); and executing right and left agitation of the BLDC motor N times by the set agitating force 'C'(S83).
