<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for checking charging of iron scrap is provided which prevents safety accident caused by drop of the scrap by checking if the scrap of scrap chute is charged into the converter as it should be when charging the scrap into converter, thereby promptly taking measures in case of non-charging of the scrap. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an iron scrap sensing part for sensing charging of the iron scrap(14); an operating part for operating the air control part by receiving action of the iron scrap sensing part; an air control part(3) for operating the checking part by supplying air in the air tank to the checking part or blocking supply of the air to the checking part according to operation of the operating part; an air tank for storing air(4); a main body box in which various parts of the apparatus are installed; a check valve for supplying or blocking flow of air; an air line for connecting the air control part to the air tank; a checking part gate(8) opened and closed according to action of the checking part to prevent foreign materials from flowing in the main body box; a traction rope guiding part for preventing entangling of the traction rope when uncoiling or coiling traction rope(1b); a checking part for enabling operator to check the charging state of the iron scrap; and a check ball groove(11) in which check ball(1a) is installed.</p> |
