<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of driving power source circuits without damaging a function of a switch. <P>SOLUTION: In the 1×N optical switch comprising a switch part consisting of a bifurcated optical switch 1-1 connected to an input waveguide and further one or a plurality of bifurcated optical switches 2-1, 2-2, 3-1 to 3-4 serially connected to the output of the bifurcated optical switch 1-1 and connected to N lines (8 lines) of output waveguides, and gate optical switches G-1 to G-8 respectively connected to the output waveguides, the driving power source circuits are consolidated for each of a plurality of groups with only one bifurcated optical switch in the ON state so as to make their shared use possible and are shared with all of the gate optical switches. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
