PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining method for fabricating very small cracks by applying a very high energy to a focal position in a very short period of time.

SOLUTION: In this laser beam machining method, the very small cracksare fabricated at a plurality of parts inside a transparent resin member 11 by irradiating the transparent resin member 11 with laser beams L and relatively moving the beam focal position inside the transparent resin member 11 and the transparent resin member 11. In the method, the transparent resin member 11 is sublimed in≤40 ns by the laser beams L when forming the very small cracks.
