PURPOSE: A device for detecting the existence and clamping of a spindle tool for a machining center is provided to prevent the balance error of a spindle rotation body by installing a draw bar position dog at a cylinder piston. CONSTITUTION: A relaxation space is formed between a cylinder body(21) and a spindle body when a tool is not mounted to a collet(16). Cylinder position dogs(61-2) are installed at the spindle body and the cylinder body, and detect the relaxation space. A tool detecting switch(62-3) is installed at the cylinder body.
