PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus able to cope with a cleaner-less operation in which a high transfer ratio is secured even at a multiple transfer time by obtaining an image having a high quality without having image void, which is miniaturized, whose density is high and whose cost is low by eliminating a waste toner recovery system. SOLUTION: When the moving speed of an image carrier 1 is set as Vp, that of a body to be transferred 2 is set as Vt and the ratio of the moving speed of them is set as ¾(Vt-Vp)¾/Vp=Vr, the relation of Vr≥0.009 is satisfied, and when a transfer width which is a contact part between the image carrier 1 and the body to be transferred 2 is set as W and the average intervals of an uneven part on the image carrier 1 is set as Sm, the relation of Vr×W≥Sm/2 is satisfied.
