PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a linear actuator capable of preventing a stroke or a resonant frequency of a movable body from being varied by a damper member that is inserted between the movable body and a stationary body.SOLUTION: A linear actuator 1 comprises a movable body 2, a stationary body 3 and a damper member 5 that is disposed between the movable body 2 and the stationary body 3. The stationary body 3 includes: a coil bobbin 31 that supports the movable body 2 in a movable manner via a spring 4; and a base 32 that is overlapped at a side of the coil bobbin 31 opposite to the movable body 2. During manufacture, a clearance C is provided between the coil bobbin 31 and the base 32 in a direction of movement of the movable body 2, and by adjusting a clearance dimension of the clearance C, a separation distance D into which the damper member 5 is inserted between a bottom face 11a of a core body 11 of the movable body 2 and a top face 32a of the base 32 is made into a specific dimension S that is a length dimension of the damper member 5.
