摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly provide the society with a road map in which an actual road configuration is accurately expressed and which has high reliability. SOLUTION: A map evaluation system 1 is provided with a car navigation system 10 and a map evaluation device 40. The car navigation system judges whether difference exists between a road position obtained from a map database 34 and a vehicle position trajectory which is expressed in trajectory data prepared by a trajectory preparation section 33 on the basis of present position information on a vehicle obtained by a position detector 20, produces difference data expressing an area where difference exists and then sends the difference data to a map evaluation device together with attached data about the accuracy of the difference data. The map evaluation device judges the accuracy of the difference data on the basis of the attached data. When the accuracy of the difference data is at an acceptable level, the judging frequency of a group to which the difference data belongs is increased by one. When the judging frequency exceeds a prescribed number of times, map correction parts are displayed on a monitor 53 on the basis of the difference data accumulated in the difference database 47.
