PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable grinding not accompanied by occurrence of burrs or grinding after which burrs are easily removed, with respect to grinding of Al or an Al alloy tube, and to prevent a charge leak in an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum or a developer carrier using a tube manufactured by the above method as a substrate. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a cylindrical body for an electrophotographic apparatus, in machining of a cylindrical body for an electrophotographic apparatus by grinding, grinding is carried out two or more times and a relative movement direction of a grinding surface of a grinding stone to the cylindrical body being a workpiece is reversed.
