PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber type photo-electric sensor allowing to reduce a practical occupation width per one channel when continuously providing a plurality of fiber type photo-electric sensors. SOLUTION: This fiber type photo-electric sensor is provided with two pairs of light projector circuits and light receiver circuits corresponding to a first and a second detection channels; a single CPU for operating detection of the two detection channels by time sharing, two output lines corresponding to the two detection channels; four fiber insert openings 107, 108, 109 and 110 arranged vertically in a front surface so that the upper two openings work as a pair of light projector and light receiver corresponding to the first detection channel and that the lower two openings work as a pair of light projector and light receiver corresponding to the second detection channel; and a first and a second numerical value display units 201 and 202 for displaying a plurality of digit number of numerical value in the longitudinal direction of a case and provided in the top surface of the case in the longitudinal direction. The first numerical value display unit displays the quantity of the received light of the first detection channel, and the second numerical value display unit displays the quantity of the received light in the second detection channel.
