PURPOSE: A rotary knife die device for forging is provided to easily perform operation, obtain accurate angular dimensions and improve productivity by rotating the knife die only in the state that a working material for fabricating an article such as rudder stock is left alone as it is. CONSTITUTION: In a knife die device for forging comprising a knife die(6) the front end of which sharply formed, and a die holder(10) the lower part of which contacts and supports the knife die(6), the rotary knife die device for forging is characterized in that one or more rotary projecting parts are formed on the bottom of the knife die(6), and lateral guiding groove(20') and longitudinal guiding groove(20") by which rotational movement of the rotary projecting parts are guided are alternately formed on the upper surface of the die holder(10), wherein the rotary projecting parts on the bottom of the knife die(6) comprises a central rotary projecting part(11) and side rotary projecting parts(12).
