PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the concealability of the original of a copy-protected image and the post-copying reproducibility of the printed contents of the original by using a random-dot stereogram for the copy-protected image. SOLUTION: A printing controller 1 converts a dot on copy-protected characters ("copying" in Fig. (a)), among the smallest dots constituting the random-dot stereogram, into a dot (copy loss dot) smaller than the smallest dot capable of being read by a copying machine, and converts a dot in an area except the copy-protected characters into a dot (copy remaining dot) larger than the smallest dot capable of being read by the copying machine, so as to generate and print out the copy-protected image.
