CATHODE STRUCTURE, ELECTRON GUN, AND CATHODE-RAY TUBE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a short circuit from occurring between a heater wire and a cathode part due to adhesion of barium (an electron-emitting material) to the surface of a ceramic body in which a part of the heater wire is embedded.

SOLUTION: The cathode part 8 is installed at one end face of the ceramic body 16 which is a cylindrical object with a part of the heater wire 18 embedded into it, and the heater wire 18 is drawn out from the other end face of the ceramic body 16. The end face of the side in which the heater wire 18 is drawn out, swells out in a dome state, and a wall 16A is vertically installed at an outer circumference of the end face.
