PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an entire image forming apparatus by making space in the shaft direction of the drum driving device of the image forming apparatus small, simplifying the constitution of a speed reducer, and securing the installation flexibility of the pitch of a photoreceptor in a quadruple tandem system. SOLUTION: The drum driving device for driving a cylindrical drum 6 provided in the image forming part of the image forming apparatus is equipped with a motor 1 which has a rotary shaft 12 extended to the inside of the drum 6 in its center part and whose main body is provided on the outside of the drum, and a reduction gear 2 which is arranged inside the drum, decelerates the rotation of the rotary shaft 12 of the motor 1 and transmits it to the drum.
