PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously vary a lift timing, a lift time and a lift amount of a valve system corresponding to an operating state of an engine. SOLUTION: One end of a link 2 is journaled to a position on an opposite side to a position of a valve of a rocker arm 9 member located at a position distant from a rocker arm shaft 10 by the shaft 1 so as to be rotated freely to journal the other end of the link 2 at one end of a link 4 by a shaft 3 so as to be rotated freely. The link 2 connected by the shaft 3 is provided, a cam slipper 21 portion is provided at a link 2 member positioned outside a bent portion of the link 4, and a cam shaft 19 is provided so as to be brought into contact with the cam 18. Support arms 6 and 6-1 are rotated with support arm attachment shafts 7 and 7-1 centered, and the link 4 is rotated with the shaft 3 centered by restraining and synchronizing by the support shaft 5 respectively.
