PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring luminance in a display capable of coping with arbitrary combination of the type of displays to be managed and the type of luminance meters to be used, continuously obtaining an accurate luminance measurement result, and further performing correction to a state where there is specific environmental light for corresponding to GSDF prescribed in DICOM to deviation in a luminance measurement value depending on the brightness of the environmental light. SOLUTION: In the method for measuring luminance in the display, the luminance measurement value caused by the type of display to be measured is calibrated according to the type of luminance meter to be used. In the method, in addition to the calibration, the deviation in the luminance measurement value depending to the brightness of the environmental light, based on the installation environment of the display, is also corrected according to the type of luminance meter to be used.
