UNDER ROLL TYPE TAKING-UP/PAYING-OUT DEVICE AND LOADING/UNLOADING METHOD OF DRUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive under roll type take-up/paying-out device capable of performing loading/unloading of a drum and take-up/paying-out of a linear body onto the drum smoothly and safely. SOLUTION: This under roll type take-up/paying-out device is composed of two kinds of under rolls including the small diameter under roll 1 provided at a fixed position and capable of rotating and driving and the large diameter under roll 2 movable in the direction of right angle to a rotary shaft. The drum is smoothly and safely loaded by moving the large diameter under roll 2, and the drum is smoothly discharged by pressing in the large diameter under roll 2 until it comes into contact with the small diameter under roll 1 by an air cylinder 5. The small diameter under roll 1 is rotated and driven to wind the linear body around the drum and unwind the linear body out of the drum. The drum is conveyed while loaded in a condition in which rotation of the under roll is stopped by a travel means attached to a device main body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
