PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to prevent halation generated on the windshield of an automobile. SOLUTION: The device to prevent halation uses the nature of black color to absorb the light, and shuts off the light completely and turns it so as to have a soft tone. A plate to whose surface a black paper 2 is affixed is installed on the oversurface of the instrument panel of the automobile so as to absorb the light, and the reflected light from the end of the device is shut off by putting a cloth cover, and the reflected light from the central part etc. of the device is turned into light having a soft tone. The whole windshield can be clear, and one can see even the left-hand end and also the shade and his attention can well reach pedestrians. This is particularly efficient to the nighttime running in rainfall, and gives safety to the driver in psychological terms.
