摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor in which flow resistance at the time of refrigerant introduction is reduced without upsizing the entire structure. <P>SOLUTION: The compressor 1 is of a nearly cylindrical shape, and comprises a suction chamber 11 and a discharge chamber 12. The suction chamber 11 is made by jointing a cast or forged rear-housing 10 through a valve plate 32 to the rear end of a cylinder block 30 having a plurality of cylinder bores 31. A piston 34 reciprocates by rotation of a driving shaft 45 supported in a crankcase 42. The rear housing 10 has an extension chamber 13, a suction port 15, and a communication part 16. The extension chamber 13 has side walls 17a, 17b, and 17c along a mold-drawing direction of the rear housing 10. The suction port 15 has a suction hole 15a made orthogonally to the direction drawing the mold. The communication part 16 affords communication between the suction port 15 and the extension chamber 13. A central angleθof a common border L formed of the suction hole 15a and the communication part 16 in crossing of the suction hole 15a and the communication part 16 is set at least at 180°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p>
