PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release sheet for a hot press which is hardly wrinkled or foamed on the occasion of being stuck to a hot plate, first, which is easy to release from the hot plate, secondly, and which is advantageous for packaging, transport and storage. SOLUTION: The release sheet 4 is constituted by integrally joining a base 4a which is formed of a synthetic resin sheet being flexible at normal temperatures at least and having such a heat deformation rate that it is hardly deformed by heating within the working range of the hot plate 3 of the hot press and properties that it is hardened by the heating, and a release material 4b which is formed of a thermoplastic resin sheet having such a heat resistance that it is hardly deteriorated thermally by the heating within the working range of the hot plate 3 of the hot press and that the flexibility is not damaged, and peeling properties. On the outer surface of the base 4a, a sticking agent layer 4d to be stuck on the hot plate 3 of the hot press is formed, while the sticking force of the sticking agent layer 4d is set to be weaker than the joining force of the base 4a and the release material 4b.
