PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source controlling device by which circuit scale can be reduced, designing is facilitated and light quantity control can be performed with high accuracy. SOLUTION: In the light source controlling device, order information showing a light quantity control order of a plurality of LDs contained in the light source 50 is previously stored in a storing section 12A of a light quantity control order setting so as to perform the light quantity control on the order shown by the order information. The device is so constituted that the switching of an LD, a target of the light quantity control, can be performed with a switching section 14A, in synchronization with a light source switching signal being a modulation signal showing the switching timing of the LD, the target of the light quantity control.
