PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately monitor an action of an underground fault in real time over a long period. SOLUTION: This underground fault monitoring device is constituted of an observation well drilled from a ground surface and crossed to the underground fault to be as orthogonal as possible, a casing having an expansion joint fixed to observation well walls in both sides of the underground fault, by a casing packer, and a measuring instrument provided inside the casing.
